The oil-air separation element (hereinafter referred to as oil separator) is an important part of oil-lubricated rotary air compressors and vacuum pumps. Its main function is to separate the oil and compressed air in the oil-air mixture, so that the oil can return to the oil circulation system, thereby reducing Gas oil content. Oil components are mostly used in oil-injected screw air compressors.
Generally, the oil content requirement for oil-injected screw air compressors is that the residual oil content of the compressed air outlet after oil treatment is not more than 3ppm (the oil content is not more than 3mg/m3). Excessive oil content in the air at the outlet of the air compressor is usually referred to as high fuel consumption, commonly known as oil running, and is one of the most common failure phenomena. If the air compressor leaks oil, it will not only pollute the post-processing equipment, but also affect the quality of the products produced by the user, and even cause damage to some production equipment to varying degrees.
So how to determine whether the machine has too much fuel consumption? Mainly should start from the following aspects:
1. First of all, it is ruled out that there is no oil leakage or oil leakage on the surface of the pipe fittings of the machine.
2. Whether the oil level of the machine has dropped significantly, the observation of the oil level indicator line should be compared under the same working environment, for example, under the same load of 7bar pressure, whether the oil level has changed before and after the time, or observe the oil level after ten minutes of shutdown Is there a difference.
3. For the machine equipped with a water separator, take a sample from the drain of the water separator, drain the water and put it in a clean container (cup or mineral water bottle) and settle for about five minutes, then observe whether there are spots or It is oil film-like oil that accumulates on the surface of the container. Generally, there are only a few thin colorful oil flowers when viewed against the light, and the sampled water may be milky white before precipitation, which is normal. For machines without a water separator, you can observe the drainage status of the air storage tank, and compare with the previous normal situation to see if the drained water brings out more oil.
