For this reason, the hardness of the water must be reduced as much as possible, and the working temperature of the circulating water must be controlled to solve the problem of scaling of the vacuum pump.


1.Temperature control of circulating cooling water

It can be seen from the above analysis that the difference between the temperature of the water ring in the vacuum pump and the water temperature of the softening pool is an important factor leading to scaling. Therefore, increasing the circulating water supply to improve the cooling effect is an important guarantee to minimize the scaling speed.


Therefore, during the operation of circulating cooling water, it is also necessary to monitor the return water temperature and return water volume of each pump to ensure that the normal water supply volume of each pump and the return water temperature do not exceed the regulation of 40 °C. The amount of water supply can be controlled by a valve. If the temperature of the return water exceeds the specified value, supplement with low-temperature cold water or use other cooling methods to reduce the temperature of the softened water in the softened pool.


2. The hardness of the cooling water that circulates

The operation process of circulating water in the vacuum pump is very similar to the operation process of boiler water in a low-pressure hot water boiler. Therefore, managing the water quality of the vacuum pump according to the water quality standard of the hot water boiler can not only prevent the vacuum pump from scaling but also prevent the vacuum pump from corroding.


Most of the vacuum pump circulating water systems are open-circulating systems, and the water return rate is relatively high. In the event that ion exchange equipment is not used for water treatment for reasons such as funds, a softening pool and a high-level pool are generally used to supply water to the vacuum pump.


3. Flush the pump body on a regular basis.

On the one hand, the pump body drain gate valve of the water ring vacuum pump, in addition to being used to discharge the accumulated water in the pump normally, can also use the water pressure of the pump body to regularly flush the dirt and water slag in the pump during operation. On the other hand, it can also prevent the slag from being transformed into scale.


The fouling problem of vacuum pumps has its own complex generation mechanism, and correct analysis of water quality indicators and operating parameters is the key to finding the correct preventive measures. In addition to water temperature control and regular pump flushing, water treatment is the most important part of preventing pump scaling.
