In fact, according to the author's years of experience, air filters' quality not only impacts the energy efficiency of air compressors but also has a very big impact. Air filter mainly affects energy efficiency from two aspects.
1、Filtration precision. If the use of low filtration accuracy of the air filter will lead to much dust inhalation, dust, in addition, affect the quality of lubricants and air compressor parts, in addition to much dust adsorbed in the oil part of the surface, will quickly increase the oil part of the internal pressure (especially when the user is using the environment is very poor), resulting in the oil part in the late pressure difference is very large. Many people know that with a kilogram of differential oil pressure, power consumption increases by 7%, and using a high-quality air filter with high filtration accuracy can greatly reduce the differential oil pressure in the middle and later stages, to improve the energy efficiency of air compressors.
2、 Suction resistance. The greater the suction resistance, the lower the energy efficiency of the air compressor, which I believe we all know very well. Still, many people only find that the air compressor is not pumping, or the air filter is sucked out, then they know that the air filter is clogged. This time was not the most terrible; the most terrible is that the air filter was completely clogged or sucked for a long time before the explosion. We did not find out in time that the air filter suction resistance was very large, did not clean or replace the air filter in time, wasting a lot of electricity for nothing.
Therefore, we are recommended to use high-quality air filters with high filtration accuracy and low suction resistance and remind users to blow and change the air filter regularly. What is a high-quality air filter? Single pursuit of high filtration accuracy, or single pursuit of not easy to block the air filter, is not a quality air filter. Only the air filter with high filtration accuracy and low suction resistance can be considered a quality air filter.
In the past few years, most air compressor manufacturers have been focusing on energy saving, and the number of air compressor manufacturers with foreign brand air filters is gradually increasing. And here is the reason. The real quality air filter can make the compressor machine energy efficient to get a better reflection, not make their money more stupid. Still, unfortunately, many agents do not understand the intention of the air compressor manufacturers.
