The influence of oil filter on the energy efficiency of air compressor is mainly in three aspects.


1. The dust capacity of oil filter. Many people mistakenly think that the oil filter is the interception filtration principle, thinking that the higher the filtration precision, the better, in fact, the oil filter is the adsorption filtration principle, the filtration precision need not be too high. Lubricating oil is a viscous liquid, the filtering precision is too high but not good, the filtering precision can reach medium. The filtering effect of the oil filter mainly depends on the size of the dust capacity, not entirely on the filtering accuracy of the oil filter. The oil filter with large dust capacity will have relatively small resistance in the middle and later stages, and the smaller the resistance, the higher the energy efficiency.


2. Oil filter resistance. If the oil filter with bad quality filter paper is not permeable, the resistance will become bigger and bigger after using for a period of time, which will also have an impact on the energy efficiency of the air compressor.


3. Anti-aging ability of oil filter. If the oil filter is not strong against aging, it will not only not filter in the middle and later stages, but also form new pollution sources after the carbonization of the filter paper, which will increase the oil pressure difference and reduce the energy efficiency of the air compressor. In addition to good filtration effect, choosing high quality oil filter also helps to improve the energy efficiency of air compressor.


The influence of lubricating oil on the energy efficiency of air compressor is mainly in two aspects.


1. lubricant viscosity. Generally speaking, the greater the viscosity of the lubricant, the greater the resistance and the lower the energy efficiency, but this is not absolute, mainly according to the machine situation to choose the lubricant viscosity. The host rotor clearance is small, good sealing performance of the air compressor, choose to use low viscosity lubricant, so that the operating resistance will be smaller, energy efficiency will be higher, such as No. 32 lubricant; host rotor clearance is large, sealing performance is poor air compressor, choose slightly higher viscosity lubricant, can improve sealing performance, such as No. 46 lubricant.


2. Lubricating oil carbon accumulation. If dust is the biggest source of air compressor pollution, then carbon is the second biggest source of air compressor pollution. Choose high-quality lubricating oil will greatly reduce the generation of carbon, the less carbon the smaller the oil pressure difference, the higher the energy efficiency of the air compressor.
